Sean Harmer is going on his 10th year as a professional woodworker, CNC machinist, and furniture maker. He started with an unconventional path of wanting to learn the digital side of woodworking and fabrication by using CNC machines. While living in Colorado and during the pandemic, a gap in supply chains allowed him to use his CNC to make popular outdoor training tools for rock climbers, called Hangboards. This new business allowed for an increase in investment, tools, and knowledge of finer woodworking. 6 years later he has transitioned to custom furniture and topographical carvings that keep him busy. Additionally he uses his community workshop in Easton, Maryland as a place for classes and service for local customers.

With the use of social media and creating stories around his projects, companies have sponsored him and viral videos have brought in more customers and engagement.
