Jason Dawson started out in woodworking 9 years ago when he built a shop next to his house. At the time he was a general contractor doing interior residential remodeling, (bathrooms, basements, kitchens) and he needed a change. He did it on the side for 3 years before partnering with his now business partner Jonathan, from whom he was buying all of his wood at the time. John is a local wood carver, creating various items out of basswood. He also teaches at Anne Arundel Community College, holding classes offsite at a Sr. Center in Pasadena.

Andrew pokes around drift wood piles and neighborhood piles, finding unique pieces; and collects native clays and shell. He combines his findings to create beautiful pieces - spoons, bowls, and serving platters. He will talk about his creative passion, and how he also uses power carving tools to enhance some of his creations.

Harry is a journeyman supervisor cooper for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, where he has been working for twenty years. He will talk about the history of cooperage, emphasizing its importance in colonial America. He will talk about the different vessels (i.e., casks, buckets, tubs) they make, and how they are utilized.
